I wanted to share my story with the world because I know I am not alone. Ebstein’s Anomaly cases are 1 in 200,000 which is quite rare, but congenital heart defects are 1 in 100, and even when you are one of many with such an ailment when you are battling a life-threatening condition, you can feel pretty isolated, and alone. You are not. And your story doesn’t have to be one of defeat.
When sharing my story I hope to, not only educate others about my condition but inspire those who are battling health situations – or life’s obstacles in general – to power through them and make something amazing out of their lives.
