- Advocacy Work
With great power, comes great responsibility. ~Voltaire
When you are given a second chance at life, you take it. What you do with it is entirely up to you. I have chosen simply to live life to the fullest, to speak for those who don’t have a voice or are afraid to use it and to help others who have yet to walk the road I have traveled.
I advocate for Congenital Heart Defects Awareness (CHD’s) because it is the cause closest to my heart. I hope that one day every child has a chance to early detection and treatment and that with research, we can find the causes and cure of all critical congenital heart defects.
And I advocate for Cyber-Bullying Awareness because I think no one should live in fear because of someone’s abuse of power or because someone gets a kick out of bringing someone down to hide their own cowardice. Anyone who tries to chip at someone’s peace or sense of security just because of their own insecurities should be identified and made to face consequences.
In general, I advocate for kindness. I believe diversity goes beyond race and color but includes our beauty marks, our hair, our weight, height and every flaw that adds up to make us simply perfect.
